Trading is often a space filled with ego and self. But through my struggles, I have come to see that ego and an over elevated sense of self can make me blind to very important things.
What keeps me grounded in the crazy ego filled world of trading? What keeps me level headed and humble?
One day I am going to be held accountable for how I lived, and for what I did for others in service. A mantra in our home is – To whom much is given, much is required. I realize each of my life experiences are tests and challenges meant to create growth as a person; that my decisions in my life will define me, and indeed, it will not be what I leave behind but how I lived that will matter the most.
I strive for God to be in charge of my life. I live as a speck of dust, flawed, sinful and self serving by nature. My existence is defined by emptiness without the existence of the All Mighty God. I am accepted and loved, nonetheless, and that creates within me, a great joy and contentment knowing that all my triumphs and successes come from God.
I believe in the God of the Holy Bible and I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and though I will be a perpetual failure at trying to be perfect, I am content to get up everyday, dust myself off, and try again to be better than the day I was before.
